Option 1 "What was so important to us at our wedding": One of Lyndsay's grandfather's last wishes was to see her and Rem get married in Mexico.Towards the end of 2019 her grandpa was unfortunately becoming more ill. Still in good spirits, he was determined to be there, and the idea of Mexico kept him strong for many days leading up to the wedding. He refused to believe any different, and would tell the whole senior care facility how he couldn't wait to go to Mexico. Unfortunately, God had other plans and decided it was his time a bit sooner than we all had expected. Lyndsay and Rem were able to get legally married in California in front of her grandpa at the senior care facility just a few days before he passed in December, 2019. They knew they wanted to honor him in some way at the wedding in Mexico and they asked their videography team to capture the moments of their family scattering grandpa's ashes in the ocean after their wedding ceremony. We still brought grandpa to the wedding, and we felt him with us every step of the way. It made our wedding night that much more special, a night we'll never forget. We are so thankful for A Little Long Distance for capturing something so pure and a moment we will cherish forever.Option 2 "Our Story": Rem and Lyndsay officially met their last year of college at San Jose State. They'd been friends on social media for a few years prior, but Rem finally mustered up the courage to send her a good ol' DM on Facebook. Lyndsay, (not being one to respond to creepy DMs) couldn't believe that "one hot guy" she'd always see around campus messaged her and knew she had to respond. So, after exchanging phone numbers and chatting for a few days, the first "hangout" (Lyndsay would not allow them to be called dates) was set up and complete anxoiusness ensued from both of them. It ended up being the best first non-date date ever. They had takeout from the Whole Foods hot bar, and ate pasta and broccoli in the car in the middle of the parking lot. Ok, the food was the worst part. But, they talked and laughed for hours on end. They built conversation off of mutual interests, and couldn't believe how much the two of them had in common. From their free spirited souls, love of spontaneous adventure and travel, to their outrageous sweet tooth...sparks flew, feelings grew, and and then the love story goes on.
