From The Bride: Jonah and I met in college, kind of, he's 8 years older than me and decided to go to college later in life, so he was a senior when I was a freshman. He was dating someone at the time, and I was just a scared freshman so needless to say love did not blossom until a few years later. When I was finally a senior, Jonah had stuck around our college town for work and I ended up moving two doors down from him and we became fast friends, and little did I know something more. I'm a "no games" kind of lady, and Jonah is just so kind and so charming I thought, "he's not interested, he's just a charmer and loves playing these games with younger women" (harsh I know, but hey, I had been hurt in the past!) while at the same time he was thinking "She's beautiful and amazing, but young, I don't want to scare her off, so I need to play it cool!" LONG story short, I kind of just asked him what his intentions were and he very quickly, and happily responded "I'm interested, and I want to get to know you more!" which led to our first date in 2011. LONG LONG LONG story short: After 2 breakups, an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries where we didn't see or speak to each other over a year and a half but he had been writing me letters the whole time, keeping them to himself, and then gave them to my parents if I ever had wanted to see him again, and then had some really God-led moments, in 2014 we found our way back to each other and just knew it was for the long haul, and haven't looked back since!!! Hopefully this anniversary video shows a ounce of our love for one another! From The Filmmaker: This couple has been married 2 years, but they wanted a chance to write vows to one another since they did traditional vows on their wedding day. It was very powerful!
