The first person to contact us about filming Victoria + Chris’ wedding was actually not either of them. It was Victoria’s best friend and maid of honor, Hope, that sent us an inquiry. She contacted us in search of a videographer who could be available for a wedding that was happening in 5 weeks. Victoria and Chris got engaged in Greece earlier that same year and were looking forward to a 2021 wedding back in Greece where Victoria’s family is from. Unfortunately, they would receive some very difficult news before then. Victoria’s mom, Anna, was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Anna was getting progressively worse and the future bride and groom knew that they would not want a wedding without Anna as part of it. So, family and friends all over rallied around them to put together an at-home wedding that would honor their love for each other and for their families. Anna was not only able to witness her daughter’s marriage, but officiated it too. The wedding took place in the beautiful home of a family friend and was elegantly decorated for Christmas. The festivities were so full of joy - Greek dances echoed down the halls and life breathed into every corner of the rooms. Taking part in capturing these memories for such a beautiful family was a bigger honor than we can put into words. Cancer is a very personal subject in our lives and has not only touched our household, but many of our family members as well. Our hearts were called to this couple in a way that they never have before. And although Anna is no longer with us, we are happy to know that Victoria and Chris will be able to hear her words of wisdom for many years to come.
