Mike + Dan got to experience all the best New England weather has to offer in terms of weather on your wedding day. It started off as a beautiful sunny day, turned windy and overcast, rained, HAILED, and then cleared up again. Just as we thought we might start to see the sun again…raindrops fell once more. M+D made the best of it because they were way too focused on each other to let it bother them. In answer, New England pulled another fast one on us. As we waited inside the State Room, with a spectacular view of Boston, a rainbow appeared. But not just a rainbow - a rainbow that stretched from one end of the harbor to the other. You could literally see where it started and where it ended. It was like the sky was saying this marriage was meant to be. When I first talked to M + D we asked what was most important for them to come through in their film. They told me, “We’re just a couple of easy-going guys that are looking to have an over-the-top black-tie wedding.” That statement couldn’t be more true. M + D are some of the most genuine, kind, lovely grooms a videographer could ask for. Even when the weather was being a diva, these two were all smiles, tenderness, and warmth. M radiates energy and charisma and D brings a calm gentle presence. They fit together perfectly. They balance each other. M + D embody the age-old adage, “It’s not just about finding the right partner, but being the right partner.” And when you get an exceptional couple and put them in an extravagant venue you can’t help but have a good time. True love just works like that; even when grey skies are on the horizon this kind of love makes everything bright.
