Travis was hitch hiking after a music festival in Australia, hoping someone would pull over and offer him a ride. Maddy was studying in Australia and was the lucky one to drive past Travis and find him nice enough to offer him a ride. The rest is history.
Travis is from Australia, and he and Maddy began their relationship there. They infused elements of Australia into their wedding day through vendors, and decor. Maddy wrote in her journal throughout their relationship, and even had decor elements of pages from her journal hung up on the wall. They even had an installation put in that represented the street names where they first met.
Their day was elegant, and full of intentionality, and so much love. They decorated and put together an event right outside of Maddy's childhood home. With a few rented tents, an amazing team to put together an epic design and all around feel for their day.
The rain made an appearance on their day. And while that may have deterred some from feeling joyful, Maddy and Travis embraced it completely. When we had to take a break from photos outside to wait out the rain, Maddy and Travis used that time to dance in the living room to her sister playing piano (what you hear in the beginning).
Their party at the end of the night was just as epic as the sweet and meaningful ceremony earlier in the day. All of their family and friends (most of whom flew in from Australia to be there), partied all night long. Eventually heading into a silent disco at the end of the night to burn the midnight oil at the "after party".
These two are so vocal with one another about how in love they are, and that was so special to capture. Their love is magic and I hope you love their film!
