Wedding Date on Sep 22, 2019

It was love at first office job! On Lauren's first day, she was introduced to Julien and immediately knew he was going to play some important role in her life. She just didn't know how big that role would actually become! They became friends, but never pursued anything as Lauren was in a relationship, but they continued to hang out at work and became de facto concert buddies (they had the same taste in music). Fast-forward 2 years and Lauren was single. Julien and Lauren went to the beach and as the sun was setting, she looked at him and asked, "Is it crazy to suppose that there's something between us?" He looked at her and said, "Oh my god, Lauren..OF COURSE THERE IS!" She moved in a month later and have been together ever since. He proposed in June of 2018. Lauren's dad, who lives in Wisconsin, was coming for a visit and Julien wanted to include him in the proposal as Lauren's dad felt like he was missing a lot of her life since moving in 2017. She asked her dad what he wanted to do during his visit here and he asked to go to the South Coast Botanical Gardens. Lauren asked Julien if he wanted to go, not knowing he had actually orchestrated the whole thing. He even tried to play it off by saying, "Oh I don't know if I can get the day off, but I'll try." Well, Julien ended up going and the three of them drove down there. The entire time, he had the ring in his pocket, and he was waiting for a good spot to do the thing. They finally walked down this secluded path, and Lauren's dad kinda dropped back and got the phone out to film it. Julien stopped her as she walked and began to explain why they were really there. It was one of the first places they hung out as just friends. They hadn't been back in awhile and he wanted the first time back to be extra special. Then Julien got down on one knee, popped the question, and the rest is, as they say, history!
