Nik and Savanna shared a class that was being held at Long Beach City College, where she could not stop staring at Nik. He looked very familiar and attractive to her. After taking an exam, Nik approached her after class and introduced himself - only to find out that Nik was not even enrolled in the course. He attended the class to get to know Savanna. After a few dates, they became serious, and after many conversations, they found out they attended the same elementary school together. On February 13, 2017, Nik proposed when on vacation in Lake Arrowhead. It was their first time experiencing snow together, so Nik made it all the more special by proposing.
