How They MetJenna and Mike first glanced eyes freshman year at a University of Maryland football game. Playing the long game in a brilliant display of patience and strategy, Mike bravely asked for Jenna's number senior year, when by happenstance they ran into each other again.Actually Jenna asked for Mike's number, attracted to his apathy at the moment wearing a Rick Vaughn jersey and Under Armour shorts at a party.Long DistanceJenna and Mike extended their newfound love after they graduated.Jenna spent time at her home in South Jersey, while Mike lived at his home in New York. The only passion they shared equal to their commitment to one another was living rent free.Jenna traveled the world, from South Africa to Istanbul to Ireland, taking time to absorb life's beauties before committing to obtaining her Masters Degree (and later PhD). When Jenna got accepted into Columbia University to pursue that degree, her and Mike's stint together in New York City began.Well, Mike milked a couple more years with his parents on Long Island, but close enough.The ProposalMike surprised Jenna with a trip to the beautiful country of Croatia. Mike also surprised himself with his ability to get a diamond ring through three countries undetected and not lose it while engaging in miscellaneous bourbon-laced debauchery over the course of 11 days.With the perfect setting of a golden sun over the Adriatic Sea and Jenna and Mike's favorite song playing, Mike popped the question that one special day in June of 2016.AdviceEvery newly married couple loves to give advice--whether or not it's solicited.
