Wedding Date on Nov 22, 2020

Before they began their relationship, James was Rachel's banjo teacher! These two have such a playful, intentional, and sweet love. They decided to elope in the beautiful Sequoia National Park due to Covid, but it also holds a special place in James' heart, as he grew up right outside of the park, visiting often. James is a musician, and wrote a beautiful song for Rachel that you will hear briefly in the beginning and at the end of this film. What makes James and Rachel's day so unique is that it was full of so many epic and mundane moments. I knew that I wanted to play off of that theme in their film, as that is just so them. Simple and full of intentionality. James had been collecting a box of things for his future wife, and gifted it to her on their elopement day. They had a small gathering with their closest family and friends along a river, and then celebrated under the redwoods together afterwards. It was such a unique and beautiful day, and I was honored to be able to capture it all.
