Wedding Date on Jun 30, 2021

Heidi and Lucas were set up by two of their close friends. Heidi was living in Hamilton at the time, and her new roommate Alisha invited her now-husband over for a visit. When he met Heidi, he instantly thought she and Lucas would hit it off. So he went back to Guelph and told Lucas that "Alisha had this roommate..." Soon after, Lucas started following Heidi on Instagram. Their paths hadn't crossed yet, but Heidi couldn't get Lucas out of her head. So, with some encouragement from her girlfriends, she slid into his DMs! They started chatting on Instagram, but both had incredibly busy schedules, and couldn't arrange a time to meet until a couple months out. When the time finally came, they were both so nervous! Lucas came to Hamilton and they went out for coffee and went on a hike at Dundas Peak. Heidi and Lucas have been falling in love ever since. Lucas is a wedding filmmaker himself, so when he reached out to us to film his wedding, we were absolutely honoured! Being chosen by another maker in the industry is such a compliment, and we felt so privileged to be able to capture their day. They chose to get married at a family's property just outside of Guelph, Ontario. They had a beautiful micro-wedding ceremony in the forest and enjoyed the perfect sunset together. Lit by string lights and candles, they celebrated with their closest friends and family around a long harvest table. They ended the evening with a campfire, s'mores, sparklers, and fireworks!
