Dahna came into Aidan’s life during a trying time. She was a shoulder to lean on and a source of joy and happiness for A. And D was falling in love with A and A’s children. A put it best, “I think what really sold it for me was the way she cares for my children. She truly cares for them like they were her own children.” D quickly became someone that A not only wanted in his life but in his family’s life. When we meet the right person they have that effect. They don’t just make our lives better, they make everything better. And on a stunning summer day in Boston they became a family. It was one of those New England summer days when everything is more colorful and saturated, the sun golden, the water a deep blue, and a gentle salt air breeze dashing through the avenues. It was a perfect setting in the Boston Public Garden near the famed swan boats. It was while working those swan boats that A first heard about D from a friend. Little did he know how much of an impact she’d have on him. D + A joined as one. A’s joyous Irish side and D’s bubbly Jewish side came together and celebrated this couple and their love. As the sun went down and the streetlamps flickered on the music got going and the good times began. D + A + A’s children joined hands and danced. They smiled, laughed, and twirled. Because that’s what you gain when you gain a family; a reason to dance.
