Wedding Date on Jul 7, 2019

Ari and Chris are both Brooklynites who grew up 4 blocks away from each other, but did not meet until they were both in college in Boston. We ended up meeting at a party neither of us wanted to attend in 2010! Ari approached me and asked me to dance and after being impressed by how well she could dance and her decision to approach me, I wanted her number. She resisted giving me her number initially until she realized we were both from the same neighborhood. The rest is history! 7 years later, I proposed to Ari in our beloved Brooklyn. We've supported each other through law school, grad school, have traveled together, were in a long distance relationship for some time (and hated it). As two queer women on color who are proud of our identities, we firmly believe that our decision to love each other outwardly is an act of resistance.
