Wedding Date on Oct 7, 2018

Ephrem and I met while I was on vacation in New York City May 2016 when I was living in Dakar, Senegal. He is from Benin, West Africa but had been living in the US for five years. We both spoke French and English, both passionate about Africa and bridging the cultural gap? I was immediately smitten, and spent every day for four months texting until I finally moved to New York City in September 2016 to launch my business. Two years later, we got married. Our wedding was a cultural fusion, everything I ever dreamed of. We had a Jewish ceremony followed by an evening of Afro-Caribbean-Jewish cuisine and the best dance party you could have asked for. The wedding party all wore coordinated African prints which our guests also purchased to fit the theme. Advice for newlyweds- focus on your must haves and the details will fall into place. Remember to stay calm and prepare enough so you can enjoy your party!
