Wedding Date on Oct 1, 2021

Austin and Jonna’s first date took place in a hospital room as he was recovering from a battle with Guillain Barre Syndrome that had left him completely paralyzed. But the moment he was capable of using his phone again, he hit up the dating apps and matched with Jonna. She had to help him get in and out of wheelchairs, cars, movie theater seats... oh and did we mention that Austin is over a foot taller than her? These two share a passion for service other though, as he was living out his dream of being a EMT first responder, while Jonna worked as a social worker in the medical system. You can just tell that these two were absolutely made for each other. Austin actually ended up proposing to Jonna in the hospital room that they had originally met in four years ago. In February 2021 they entered the “Be A Light Giveaway” that an amazing group of midwest vendors helped put together and they WON!
