Wedding Date on Jul 11, 2020

This was my first wedding film EVER. While 2020 was a rough year for many reasons, there was a silver lining. I was launched into wedding filmmaking. Being a hobbyist photographer for a few years, I met a lot of different people. One of those people was Thomas, another photographer. He had sent me a message on Instagram and informed me of changes to his wedding due to Covid. They were supposed to get married in Cancun, but for obvious reasons, that plan was ruined. So he asked if I wanted to take photos of his, now, Nebraska wedding. With me having an interest and a small background in video, I asked if I could make a video in stead. Thus trying my hand at wedding filmmaking. As it turns out, I love wedding filmmaking! Thomas and Haley, although their plans were ruined, ended up having a wedding day that was better than they could have imagined. All the pieces fell into place. A family friend offered up their lake house to host the wedding, and all their family and closest friends were able to attend. That is something that would not have happened in Cancun!
