Schuyler and Amber met each other while working as lifeguards in the summer of 2015 in Grand Island. They became friends during their summers together and Schuyler loved cracking jokes anytime he could to get Amber smiling. In the summer of 2018, Schuyler and Amber took their friendship a step further and their relationship took off from there. At this time, Schuyler and Amber were both finishing their college educations and spent the first year of their relationship driving to see each other on the weekends. Schuyler and Amber both achieved their degrees in 2019, Schuyler in May and Amber in early December. After the holidays, they decided to move to Omaha together and moved into a small apartment at the beginning of 2020. Then a few months later, in November of 2020, Schuyler ask his best friend to spend the rest of her life with him and the rest is history. From the beginning of getting to know these guys through email, I knew this couple would have an amazing film. Everything they were planning for the day seemed so fun, and their excitement easily transferred over to me as the filmmaker. By the time Schuyler arrived to the venue with his guys, the party had already started for them. Schuyler's joy and enthusiasm about the day was so infectious. And when he saw Amber for the first time, SHEESH, get your tissues! The dress was stunning! While their vows in the ceremony were truly amazing, there were so many other unscripted things said and done throughout the day that just had to make it into the film. They were each other's best hype person. All the different emotions throughout the day complimented each other perfectly. Normally, comedy has the potential to ruin sentimental moments, but somehow, the funny moments throughout the day fit like a puzzle with the moments that brought tears. Which made cutting back to the vows seem so natural. When hearing their vows for the first time, I felt like someone was reading a book to me, and the tears were forming behind all of our cameras.
