Wedding Date on Aug 24, 2024

In true Gen Z fashion, Alyssa and Thomas met through a dating app. However, they were in it for the long run because right after matching in the summer of 2017, they both went back to college and had to talk, text and FaceTime for 4 months while away at school before having their first official date. Thomas was quite persistent and kept Alyssa interested the whole time, working hard to rehab after his ACL surgery to be able to walk in time for their first date. Over Thanksgiving break in 2017 they had their first date at Uno's pizzeria and went bowling after, and the rest is history:) Over the years they did long distance over college, making trips to Villanova and Miami OH to visit each other, picked up each other’s sports (volleyball and golf), spent lots of time on various lakes, and shared a lot of laughs and memories along the way. On June 10, 2023, Thomas proposed to Alyssa on the rocks overlooking Lake Michigan under the guise of having extra time before their dinner reservation. He then surprised her with a celebratory dinner after with their parents and siblings at Onesto’s.
