Ryne proposed on the beach on the North Fork of Long Island. We were preparing for a Memorial Day weekend bbq with our families when he suggested we take a break and go for a walk along the shore. While on our walk, Ryne began getting sentimental, reminiscing on memories and saying how he wanted to be with me forever. Before I knew it, he was down on one knee before me with the most beautiful ring I'd ever seen. We spent a good minute hugging (and crying) before I actually got the ring on my finger. We heard clapping cheers coming from people nearby across the water who had witnessed the whole thing. We spent some time sitting on the beach reveling in love and excitement and called our nearest and dearest family members to share the news. We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening back at Ryne's parents' vacation home celebrating with both of our families. It was the perfect day! About the wedding: Romantic, romantic, romantic. I was inspired by lush English gardens and lots of blushes, creams, with fun pops of coral and blue. We think many facets of our wedding, from the venue, to my dress, to our band and decor, reflect aspects of vintage weddings with a modern twist. We wanted something that felt classic and timeless, yet reflected who we are as a couple with that fun modern, city vibe. When it comes to hiring a videographer: Take your time and make sure that whoever you choose to hire will make you feel as comfortable as possible. Find somebody who's vision aligns with yours; you don't have to compromise the style or mood of your video for somebody else's. Make sure your visions are aligned and then don't micromanage - trust that the pros have the rest down to an art and science!
