From the bride: How did you meet? Our story began June 9th, 2012 in Long Beach Island, NJ. With no expectations of what was to come, we each went out with our friends and would meet at a favorite bar called Joe Pops. A day didn’t go by that summer where we didn’t talk and often met up in Hoboken and New York City. Several months later, Super Storm Sandy happened, and Scott invited both Sam and her roommate to stay with him while they were out of power and water. An impromptu week of living together was what sealed the deal, and the rest was history! What is your proposal story? Scott popped the question after work on a Friday night. We were leaving for vacation on Monday so I was in an extra great mood and was coming home with plans to go out for Pizza and Wine. While getting ready for dinner, Scott had told me he had gotten me something for our vacation- I turned around and he was on a knee. That surprise was followed by a surprise dinner with some of our closest friends that live near by… at a hibachi restaurant. While that might not sound romantic, this was the same place he told me he loved me for the first time years prior. I got to celebrate with friends then celebrate with him in florida the following week! The Mansion Natirar was the first place we looked! & once you go there, its hard to look anywhere else. After being to a lot of weddings, we really wanted to find somewhere our friends hadn’t been. Funny enough, when we went there and it was completely under renovations. That day we toured a construction site where they were actually pouring concrete down for the ballroom. We got to see pictures of their vision and were sold by the overall beauty of what it will be, the gorgeous view and and their passion for food. Yes, food! They are all about using quality ingredients, most of which is from the acres of land that the mansion sits on. My husband has always had a passion for cooking, and I can certainly appreciate it. The venue felt so original that I wanted to make sure the colors I picked would be complementing. We went with Shades of White, Gray, a little blush and Greenery.
