Being wedding film-makers based in the Scotland means having the freedom to choose between a variety of absolutely breath taking backdrops to capture the true love and magic that is held between a couple only minutes away from saying “I do”. On the 21st December, a particularly chilly winters day, Alex and I made our way up to one of our favourite locations to film the joy and delight that stems from weddings. Crear, an absolutely breath taking and exclusive coastal wedding venue located on the West Coast of Scotland, features picturesque views of the isles of Islay, Jura, and Gigha, making it the perfect backdrop to capture two individuals becoming one. On this specific day, we set out to capture the elopement wedding of Roisan and Andrew, who were followed along by their beautiful Collie dog and companion, Beinn. Being the month of December, it was a bitterly cold and misty day. However, the brutal weather conditions had no force in stopping the elopement between these two love birds from continuing their new beginning on the stunning coasts of Crear. Roisan and Andrew met on a fun night out in a nightclub back in 2013. Roisan, who was a particularly shy person who usually kept to herself, decided to walk up to Andrew and introduce herself after spotting him in the club. The pair immediately hit it off and had a great time laughing and dancing the whole night through. They exchanged numbers and decided to keep in contact after having such a fun night out together. Shortly after, one month to be exact, they officially began to date and decided to stay entirely committed to each other ever since. Throughout their years together, Roisan and Andrew spent their time traveling the entirety of Scotland with their Collie, Beinn, partaking in the many adventures that the beautiful nation could offer to them. One of their favourite shared pastimes is visiting the many beaches located all around the coast of Scotland, frolicking in the icy waves, and relaxing on the sandy shores. In 2020, Andrew decided to take their relationship to the next level by proposing to Roisan at the bells. As a yearly tradition, Andrew went out first with the dog and before Rosian could open the front door, Andrew was already down on one knee in the snowy wonderland that encompassed the outdoor environment. Just like the couple themselves, the entire arrangement was entirely personable and secluded, keeping the special arrangement just between Andrew, Roisan, and their beloved companion. To capture their entirely special and sacred elopement, Andrew and Roisan entrusted us, to capture their special day, forever memorialising the special moments they shared together as they said “I do”.
