Wedding Date on Oct 18, 2019

“The first time I met Paige was lunch in the cafeteria of the hospital where we work. I thought she was insanely gorgeous and it was instantly clear that we had many common interests. She was easy to talk to and get along with, had and infectious laugh, and THOSE EYES. I conspired with coworkers to get her to hang out with us after work and then tricked her into a date. I knew on our first date that she would change my life forever.” -Aaron "Aaron's story is a LOT more concise than mine but here we go. Aaron and I originally met the very first day I started working at the hospital. I was eating lunch with my residency group and our managers. He was in the cafeteria on his lunch break and sat down at the same table to introduce himself to all of us. Aaron started telling us all about a trip he had just taken to Colorado and how he travels a lot. Our managers chimed in here and there telling us how great of a nurse Aaron is, etc. I chalked up the whole conversation to just meeting a fellow co-worker and put this wall up for myself that work and personal life have to be separate. I didn't even let my mind wonder past that. Fast forward a week or so, it was my first time on the ER floor and he was precepting a friend of mine in the same residency next to me and my preceptor which meant we saw each other quite a bit throughout that day. I was so distracted by him that I didn't learn anything that day. I mean have you seen the man? He's gorgeous. Anyways, he asked me if I wanted to grab a drink that night with a bunch of people from work - I declined (I was so tired because 12 hour shifts were REAL new to me). He asked me again later that day and a friend of mine nudged me and told me I needed to go. So I did. A group of us met at a local restaurant near the hospital and spent maybe an hour or so getting to know each other since we were new. Aaron and I realized we had a lot of similarities and every single time he smiled I found myself giggling like I was 13 again. At this point, that wall I put up was 100% gone. Eventually we all said goodbye and went home. I get a message from him on Facebook ( hahahaha still cracks me up that he literally slid into my DM's ) 2 minutes after I walked into my house that night and he asked if I wanted to come back out and get a drink with "some people". I assumed he meant him and work people again and I knew I wanted to hang out with him more so I was all in. I met him at a bar downtown and when I walked in I saw just him....ZERO work people. Within about 5 minutes I realized he totally tricked me into going out with just him. So here I am with this guy I barely know, surrounded by his best friends, in a bar I've never been to. We talked all. freaking. night. We talked about everything - school, careers, goals, religion, beliefs, families, our favorite colors - you name it. It was awesome and I was falling in love already. No doubt about it. We spent the next 2 weeks straight together. Now we get to spend the rest of our lives together. CANNOT FREAKING WAIT HOLY COW! Anyways that's how it all started!" -Paige
