Wedding Date on Jul 9, 2021

“A. Damn. Good. Time.” Yep, that about sums up everything about these two + their day. I mean, Nicole was a freakin’ cheerleader for the Boston Celtics. How was this day not going to be a good time? And Ben was living his best life before the day even got started. This man got in his suit + hopped in the huge tub in his room to pop champagne + White Claws. But with any wedding it’s not the day that makes it what it is, it’s the people. And that’s so important because the weather + the world were not doing this day any favors. (Don’t worry, there’s a happy ending!) Of course, Rona threw her usual nefarious bag of tricks at this day, but then, among everything else, a hurricane blew through. Hurricanes + picturesque seaside resorts in Newport Rhode Island don’t mix well. There was pacing, nervous laughter, + bated breath. But then, just as they had to make the call about moving the ceremony inside, the clouds parted. The sun came out. Literally shining down upon us at just the exact second it needed to. The damn good times were underway. As the sun set behind the Newport Bridge, it was easy to forget that just hours before we were in the eye of a hurricane. The best part was, even if the storm had never let up, it still would have been a day to remember. N+B have a special something about them that makes people just enjoy themselves. If you need any more evidence, even the cutout photo of their cat made it to the dancefloor. N summed up all of these thoughts with her gift to B; an embroidered handkerchief that read “Keep your shit together”. No matter what the world threw their way, they kept loving, kept dancing, + truly kept their shit together.
