November in Maryland is a gorgeous mix of turning trees and chilly weather. Colby and Michael were sent to us by one of our sweet couples from our very first years in business, Cybill & Marc. We absolutely love it when clients entrust us with their family and friends, and these two had the prettiest day at the Vandiver Inn. Tucked away on a quiet street near the bay, it’s a bit of a hidden gem. We had a wonderful time celebrating with them and we wish them the best of happily-ever-afters! How they met: “Hinge! Neither of us were looking for anything serious and here we are 3 years later about to be married!” How he proposed: “It was a really normal day- we went to the gym, we went to look for new bicycles, and then we went to a taco cooking class. We finished up the class and we were outside near the car and he said he just knew he couldn't wait any longer to marry me and had to ask me right then. So there he was in the middle of DC with a ring in his hand and I couldn't believe it- I had to ask "are you sure??” several times lol. But of course he assured me he was sure and it was the easiest yes I've ever said.” What Michael loves most about Colby: “I love her tenacity and passion with the things that are important in this world, be being one of those. She works hard and will fight through any barriers to ensure the important things get done and get done well.” What Colby loves most about Michael: “His unconditional love for me and his work ethic. He works so hard everyday to make our (mostly my) dreams come true- what else could you possibly want in a partner?”
