Hometown weddings are almost a rarity for us as we spend most of our year on the road celebrating with couples all over the East Coast and sometimes beyond! James & Emily’s day was unique in that it was held on private property at a gorgeous estate owned by the groom’s family in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, just miles from the bustle that is Penn State University. They met in high school, and James proposed unexpectedly on a weekend getaway.
Filled with exquisite details like mismatched china, a vintage car, stunning florals, and even a second dress for the reception, the wedding felt like an expression of not just their taste as a couple, but an expression of the love of two families. It was truly an honor to be their photography and videography duo!
How they met: "In high school."
How he proposed: "The proposal happened in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, on a weekend trip at an Air B&B. Very unexpected."
What Emily loves about James: "I love that James is very thoughtful and always shows acts of love and kindness everyday."
