Wedding Date on May 11, 2019

Melissa and T.J. have really known each other all their lives. Their moms grew up together and have been best friends since they were young and were even maid of honors in their weddings. Melissa and T.J. were bound to meet sometime, and they did, but later on is where it all began. They always saw their family Christmas cards in the mail, but the one in 2010 was different. This is when the curiosity began. And a month later in January 2011, Melissa stopped her treadmill at the gym after noticing T.J. working out. She nonchalantly walked over to her mom who was also working out and asked if that was T.J. (After all, her mom was there the day T.J. was born haha). Her mom confirmed it was T.J. and they laughed. Awkward stages were then a thing of the past, and that week, Melissa spoke about T.J. with her best friends and joked around that they would start dating. A week later while Melissa was hanging out with some friends, a friend’s boyfriend was coming over to hang out with them, and he just happened to be hanging out with T.J. as well. Melissa & T.J. laughed and said “Nice to meet you again, your mom is my mom’s best friend”. And that’s when Melissa & T.J.’s moms were texting each other in disbelief that their kids were hanging out. Melissa and T.J. knew it was something special. And 8 years later while living in Southern California together, they got engaged on a beautiful beach in Malibu at sunset. T.J. took Melissa out for a romantic dinner date while Melissa’s parents were in town watching their new baby puppy, Cleo. By the end of dinner, T.J. excused himself from the table for a few. The waiter comes up to the table and leaves Melissa a note from T.J.. Melissa already in happy tears, is then told by the waiter to follow him. They begin walking down the stairs overlooking the ocean and he leads her outside. Melissa walks out to see a beautiful white archway with flowers lining a pathway to T.J. standing there in the sunset. Melissa, still in happy tears, walks into T.J.’s arms. And at the moment, T.J. got down on one knee and asked Melissa to marry him. Melissa said yes! And her parents peaked out from hiding on the beach holding Cleo to celebrate with them…and another chapter began right there in that moment.
