Wedding Date on Oct 16, 2020

We had a non-denominational wedding, but we tried to add touches of Lucia's culture (Chinese) while having modern and traditional touches. We wanted to be sure that this was uniquely us. We met on February 14th - Valentine's Day! - and we dated for two years before moving in together. Bill proposed during the pandemic and he found a park in NJ that allowed us to take off our masks. He knew that I loved sitting under trees and he picked out a spot under a large pine. We talked about our relationship and watched the boughs sway above us when he simply asked me to marry him. The engagement ring is a family ring. According to his mother, it's a ring that represents the dedication and hard work that it takes to make a relationship succeed. It must be working because we've hit several milestones: It's been three years since we met, one year since we started living together, and we are now expecting our first child.
