Kristen arrived at the Treehouse of Vero Beach with tears in her eyes—her dream wedding design completely realized. After ten years, the day was finally here. When I film a wedding I prepare my couples that their story is absolutely the core of how I approach their day. Many times I will ask them to bring letters or read their vows… sometimes, though, I go off-script and just ask them to talk to me. Just forget the camera is there and tell me how you’re feeling. What’s going on in your head right now? I was not prepared for how Kristen and Justin would respond to my questions. It was the most beautiful moment and I will never forget it. The both focused on the pinnacle of their love—their little boy. As a mom myself, I couldn’t help but tear up with them. Technically speaking, their wedding day was a dream.
