From the bride: Our love story begins five years ago when we first met. I was a new student about to begin my clinicals at a hospital where AJ happened to already be a working employee there. He was basically my teacher. Halfway through my schooling is when he says that he first became interested in me, although I had no clue. I had a crush on him when I was a student but he didn't seem interested at all so I let it go. It wasn't until I graduated and I started working there that he actually pursued me. In a way I guess you can say we were brought together or he just got really lucky ;) because when I graduated I was supposed to actually work at another nearby hospital but somehow ended back to the one I did my clinicals at. He now tells me that he had gotten so sad because he said he'd missed his chance. Once I was back he started talking to me little by little, which for him was a big deal because he hardly ever talked unless you were his friend. He would bring me chocolates and little treats at work that he knew I liked and we continued talking. This by the way, was his way of flirting which I was completely oblivious to. Once he finally asked me out and we started dating we were talking nonstop, all day. After a year of dating, AJ proposed on our one year anniversary. He said that we were going to dinner with his older sister and brother in law to celebrate since it was also their anniversary. On our way to the restaurant he had told me that his sister and her husband were running late, which wasn't hard to believe since that their usual. He asked if I wanted to stop at a little park/trail walk area we frequented when we were dating. Being the stubborn person that I am I fought him to go because it had been raining earlier and I was in heels and didn't want to walk up a hill. He, however, persuaded me and we walked and when we stood on this little hill overlooking a man made pond he told me to look away and that he wanted to capture a picture of me. Once he said he had taken it I turned around and there he was kneeling on one knee proposing to me. Of course I cried and said YES!. Then all our close friends jumped out from behind the bushes to congratulate us. It was amazing! Since then we planned our wedding, got married and are now enjoying married life together. We're each others best friends and we both couldn't see ourselves with anyone else.
