Kiana and David were married at the stunning Knowles Memorial Chapel on the campus of Rollins College in Winter Park. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a more beautiful church, nor one more perfectly suited for a bride and groom. The light was perfect, streaming in from the old oaks on the campus, and I had little butterflies in my stomach all day while filming. We took an intimate little boat ride through the lake and canals to reach the Winter Park Racquet Club where the reception was being held. The sunset that night was incredible. But really what was most incredible was how Kiana & David looked at each other while on the water. The wedding party had joined us all and we were rocking out to good tunes, sharing some bubbly and just celebrating the marriage of two great people. But through all of that excitement, there was a sense of calm, quiet joy coming from Kiana and Dave. It was one of the best moments I think I’ve ever captured as a filmmaker. They told me a while back when we were making plans for their wedding film that they weren’t keen on PDA, but I’m not sure I buy that line after spending their wedding day together. 😉 Their day had it all: gorgeous gown, perfect florals, stunning venue, stunning venues, good friends, adoring family, and a good time shared by all.
