"As a child, you know, everything seems great. Then you grow up and you realize that sometimes life's not great. The lessons that we learn from our family, they prepare you for moments like this. You realize there are moments worth celebrating. Moments like this" My journey with Jessica and Jarrod started about a year ago when a collective of wedding colleagues put out an SOS for this super special couple. The reason was something that Dave and I had experienced also as an engaged couple. Jarrod's beautiful mother, Dawn, was not well, and it was unclear if she would be able to attend her only son's wedding in the coming year. We rallied together and facilitated a ceremony none of us will forget in our lifetimes. Weeks later, Jessica asked if I would be present for their larger wedding that summer, and I couldn't have been more honored to say yes. This is that wedding day. It was a day of deep laughter and tears of joy. Every person present that day brought a piece of Dawn's memory with them and I know without a doubt Jessica and Jarrod will always be able to look back at their day and know she was there.
