Julia and Anthony met while attending Georgetown and as their friends and family attested to in their toasts, they had an immediate connection. Julia's course of study was the Italian language, and coincidentally (or is it fate?) Anthony's heritage is Italian! They dated long-distance for one and a half years, and for the proposal, Anthony planned a weekend trip without telling Julia any details. The week before the trip he gave her a riddle to solve to clue her in about the weekend. The trip was in Beaver Creek because they wanted to go snowshoeing, and when they took the ski lift up, Anthony proposed!
