Sophie and David’s destination wedding in the Texas Hill Country has been a LONG time coming! This was a very international wedding because Sophie is from Belgium and has lived all over the world. In fact, their wedding guests came from over 17 different countries! Because of this, their original wedding plans had to be postponed until world travel opened up and became safe again. But let’s rewind the clock to tell Sophie and David’s story. Sophie and David are the most accomplished, impressive, and hard-working people you’ll ever meet. You’d never know when you chat with them because they are so down-to-earth, but David is an orthopedic surgeon, and Sophie is a neurosurgeon. Can you say power couple?! Sophie and David met at university and dated long distance for several years whle they each attended medical school and then again during their residences. They got engaged while sailing in the ocean. Then, a year into the pandemic, after postponing their Texas Hill Country wedding, they officially tied the knot in Arizona at their Sedona elopement! All the while, they lived in different cities, keeping their relationship strong despite the distance. Their adventurousness and love for travel its awe-inspiring.
