The soundtrack for this teaser film was a unique one to make!
One of my favorite things to do is incorporate the actual music from the wedding day (especially when it is played live)
When Jess told me she’d have a single violinist playing La Vie En Rose as she walked down the aisle solo to Harrison, I knew I had to incorporate it. It was such a fitting song as a nod to when they met in Paris. And Jess’ creative vision for the day was the epitome of romance.
The violin you hear throughout the film is straight from their ceremony.
I found a track to layer underneath it that voiced so perfectly with the progression of the violin, added a cello piece from @multiply.media ‘s Film Score Pack, and adjusted the timing so it all fell together perfectly. I wish this version of La Vie En Rose existed in its entirety tbh!!
Their day was so romantic. It was an intimate affair with their closest people. Some even travelled in all the way from the UK! Jess was so intentional about the decor and table scape. Harrison’s words were vulnerable and genuine, and you can just feel the joy the felt.
Stoked to finally share!
To the other wedding filmmakers reading this — make the sound tracks of your films your own and catered to your clients. What a gift to give them AND I promise it will make the search for music something that inspires you rather than scares you. Make it your own and find things unique to you!
And to couple’s getting married— music on your day is so so important. Spend a night talking about it together and really dreaming up the intentional sound track to your day with one another. It can be such a personal touch to your day.
With love always,
Mads
