Imari met Royce at an open mic he was hosting on April 06, 2017.  It was his last night hosting as he had plans to move across the country.  Imari had just come back from New York and went to see her friend perform at the open mic.  During the course of various audience participation games, Imari and Royce interacted and it ended with Royce stealing a kiss.  They got to talking, and as it turns out, they had a lot in common!
