Huyen & Micheal’s Wedding at McGovern Centennial Gardens was pure Urban Elegance in Houston’s premier garden venue located in the heart of the vibrant Museum District! The wedding was truly picturesque, and completely surrounded by the gardens in bloom and endless greenery. It was such a romantic, intimate place where so many family members gathered from all over the world including Vietnam to witness them share personal vows and becoming husband and wife.
Their wedding weekend started at Platypus Brewery for their rehearsal dinner and even though it was a rainy Houston evening, the place was packed full with the best beer and company. So many friends and family shared unforgettable toasts, slideshows and even surprise video messages from family and loved ones from overseas in Vietnam. Even though these two families couldn’t be together in person it was still a time of them all coming together for Huyen and Micheal and it was incredibly touching to witness and capture.
The next morning Huyen had giddy butterflies as she got ready at Hotel Zaza Houston with her intimate wedding party and parents soaking in those slow important moments together before she walks down the aisle. Huyen couldn’t hold in all the emotions that day as she ready her letter from Micheal and he couldn’t either. I think tears are such a release of emotions on a wedding day and we all should let them flow.
Since they didn’t want a first look they planned for a first touch, a time where they stood back to back in front of the fountain and prayed together. They were accidentally interrupted by their dj checking sound on the other side of the hedges but these two didn’t mind one bit, they started busting out some awesome dance moves together saying ‘Im ready to party’
They truly took in every moment of this day!
By watching the film you can tell how much planning and thoughtfulness went into this day. It is full of simple yet stunning beauty from the gardens of McGovern Centennial to the intricate planning from Fancy Lane Weddings. Every where you looked there was flawless beauty! The added florals from Unforgettable Floral were truly unforgettable and at times during editing I wondered if I had too many floral clips but I wanted them to feel surrounded by all that beauty all over again!
The candlelight and string lights made the night one of the most romantic settings we’ve seen at an outdoor wedding, it all made me even bring up a conversation of a vow renewal with my husband on the dance floor….ha we will see I guess.
What an incredible wedding day that will never be forgotten and how wonderful it will be for you to be able to return to the McGovern Centennial Gardens and even Hotel Zaza Houston for countless anniversaries to come. We pray blessings over you and your marriage with an everlasting bond and Christ at the center of your marriage, always!
