From the bride: "We are high school sweethearts! Kevin really was and is such a sweet heart! We met through mutual friends at a concert - already knowing of each other but excited to meet and exchange numbers. We started dating senior year or high school and had the most memorable senior year high schoolers could ask for. We went to the same college for a year then did long distance for 3 years while I was in Austin at nursing school. Kevin was still always the biggest supporter and would come just to be with me while I studied many many weekends. After graduating on our 7 year anniversary Kevin took me on a beautiful picnic that he knew I always wanted to do and popped the question I had always dreamed about him asking all our years together. Kevin has always been a hopeless romantic which is definitely what warms my heart and I cannot believe a year after our engagement we are finally, FINALLY here to say “I Do” to each other after 8 years of loving each other endlessly. I cannot wait forever for him and I cannot wait to see how you capture our love on our big day!"
One of my greatest joys as a filmmaker is getting to follow my couples lives after their weddings, especially when I get to reunite with them to film a family member’s wedding. Which is why I was so thrilled when Julia, the little sister of one of my past brides, reached out to me about her own wedding day. Julia and Kevin are high school sweethearts who had been together for years, and though I had been around them on her sister’s wedding day, I had no idea that we would have the pleasure of crossing paths again. Kevin and Julia are the epitome of kind, fun, and outgoing. Their large friend group is such a testament to who they are and how well they love people. Their wedding day was so effortless and laid back, and Kevin wins all the points for being the groom up for anything during our portrait time. We had so much fun strolling downtown Houston, and I could not stop geeking out as these two lit up the camera. I can’t wait to see where all of the Graffs, Flemings, and Heisers go from here!
