Collin and Hillary's story starts at a place that serves as a perfect analogy for their relationship: Buckeye Country Superfest. It was here where Hillary and her roommate stumbled into a local bar up the street. Looking back, it's weird to think that without Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban, she wouldn't have run into a few of her college friends. Among them, standing at the bar in an American Flag shirt that would make our forefathers proud, was Collin. And as soon as they're introduced by mutual friends, they begin to hit it off. At the end of the night, Collin takes a risk and asks Hillary what her plans are for the next day, knowing that no girl would turn down a ticket with Kenny Chesney headlining. Having just met him, she's a little skeptical on how serious he is about the offer. Maybe it was a dare from his college friends, or maybe the American Flag shirt got to his head, but Collin was persistent and followed up the next day. "I still was hesitant and told him I would let him know my decision after I had dinner with my family. I remember sitting at dinner telling my mom and dad that I had met a guy that had invited me to a concert that evening," Hillary recounts. My mom replied, " 'Well, I hope you said you would go?!' My mom was elated I had met someone that wanted to take me on a date and because of her excitement, I decided to go. I hopped in an Uber by myself to go meet a guy I had just met the night before, and I couldn't believe I was doing it - but I'm so very glad I took the risk." A lot has happened in the 5 years since that daring Uber ride. Getting through a white coat ceremony, a new career path, the loss of a loved one, adopting a cat, and postponed wedding dates are a few of the reasons why there was nothing stopping Hillary and Collin from ultimately saying "I do." Amidst all of this, their ceremony at Tower Beach (the location of which amongst beach-goers was decided 20-minutes prior) was still truly authentic to who they are: two people completely enamored by one another and comfortable in their own skin. Because of this, this film shows off their balance of heart and quirkiness while serving as a testament to the fact that even though not everything may not go as originally planned, you still get to marry the most important person in the world to you.
