I can’t exactly remember why I picked up a camera for the first time. Maybe part of me was afraid of being forgotten, while another part of me was afraid of forgetting. With high school coming to a close, I realized that I was ending this huge chapter of my life and entering a new one. One with new faces, new fears, new hopes, new dreams. The problem was I had no way of holding on to it.So in college I quickly became the guy who always had a camera on him, recording random group karaoke sessions in our one friend’s crappy apartments, spur-of-the-moment weekday bar crawls none of us could actually afford, and late-night coffee-induced study sessions hours before an exam (mind you, this was before everyone had an iPhone).Every semester I’d edit a video showing just what it was like to be with each of these friends at this point in my life. Raw, authentic moments put into a time capsule I can return to whenever I want to reflect. To this day, I still feel like I’m doing the same thing. - Justin-Paul
