From the very beginning, Heidi and Nate connected over a mutual love of God, animals, outdoor adventures, and “The Office.”
Nate combined their love for adventure, outdoors and animals into his proposal during a night walk to look for crabs on the beach. Mid walk, he dropped to one knee and shared that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Heidi. When learning of someone's engagement, we are always intrigued to know if it came as a surprise, or if they had an inkling it was coming. Heidi notes that she was shocked, confirmed by her attire of a headlamp and a poncho made from a beach towel. 🙂
Heidi and Nate compliment one another so well. They embrace each other's unique personalities and provide a safe place they each can call home. Their wedding day highlighted so many beautiful pieces of their relationship and the things most important to them.
Their shared love of being in nature drew them to the Fernstone venue for their wedding. The rustic ambiance was the perfect backdrop for their enchanted forest meets English garden nuptials. They got married on the edge of the forest. A tree house was the centerpiece of the reception. Guests then placed blankets around the property as Steve Moakler gave a live performance and Heidi and Nate shared their first dance as husband and wife.
Faith was an integral theme throughout the day with family member's prayers incorporated into the ceremony and reception. Their beloved Corgis stole the show as they adorably sauntered down the aisle. The couple also had an exact replica of them with their animals made to top their cake.
They perfectly executed a blend of depth and fun as they celebrated the beginning of their life as husband and wife with their favorite people in the world. The care, originality and attention to detail were unmatched and it was an honor to share in this piece of their great love story.
Congratulations to the Winnes on one heck of an exciting year - we couldn't be happier for you and your beautiful growing family!
