Wedding Date on Oct 8, 2020

Jeffrey and Eugene were study buddies since their early undergraduate years at Pacific University. Although they were both biology majors, it was "chemistry" from the start! The proposal was under the tall giant sequoias of the Redwood National & State Parks. Jeffrey had been keeping the ring in his pocket during their weekend trip, anxiously waiting for the picture-perfect moment! After just a short hike that went along a coastal bluff and descended through a couple of switchbacks in a lush forested area, they arrived at the secluded at Enderts Beach, made up of dark grey sand, ancient rocks, and driftwood piles. It was under a small natural arch opening toward the ocean where Eugene said "yes!" Their wedding included only 10 guests of their immediate family and friends who all helped set up two ceremonies -- A traditional Chinese tea ceremony and a traditional officiant Christian ceremony. The family exchanged gifts over tea, played guitar as Eugene walked down the aisle and then they all drove to Salt and Straw Ice Cream, a local favorite in Portland to celebrate the end of their day!
