Wedding Date on Mar 7, 2020

Despite both being from Texas, Marty and I (Emily) met in undergraduate at Dartmouth. I fell in love pretty much right away and Marty let me stick around so he eventually realized he was in love with me too. We've grown up and truly grown together in that time. We lived in NYC for a little and then moved to ATX for law and med school. Marty proposed while we were on vacation in Thailand. It was extremely romantic! We were at this incredible airbnb at sunset with 3 of our closest friends. I had been told to dress up for an anniversary dinner but while getting dressed Marty gave me a letter that sent me on a scavenger through the house with our friends where I found more love letters (6 of them) and was told the 7th (for our 7 year anniversary) was to be found with Marty. When I walked up to him he told me there was no letter and proposed.. so I got a ring instead haha. We then changed into casual close and went to a dive bar. Marty and I are the kind of couple that will talk in depth about ANYTHING. We are as happy at fancy galas as we are with pool in a dive bar, hiking a trail, or sitting on the couch watching the expanse. We live independent but shared lives so we both constantly bring something new to the other. We have the same goals and often very different ways of getting there but are good at making compromises and mixing the two styles. Our love was almost accidental at fist but is now very nurtured and cared for with the goal of making it something amazing.
