Wedding Date on Jul 22, 2017

Doug and Christina met on eHarmony. Just after Christina was matched to her OB/Gyn Residency in Michigan and she quickly changed her eHarmony location to Michigan, then matched with Doug. They "communicated" for months before Christina moved to Michigan from March-June and then finally had their first date at the Detroit Zoo on June 23rd, Summer Solstice. They went to the zoo, Doug helped put together Christina's grill, they ate Mexican food and stargazed in the hammock. Christina went to Florida to try to figure out her life (if she wants to do gynecology oncology or not), Doug booked a ticket to surprise her. Lots of time was spent at Universal Studios but the vibe wasn't quite right. Doug finally popped the question on Mother's Day in a park next to Christina's old stomping grounds in winter park. They chose Nashville as their wedding location because they have friends all over the country and their families are on the east side of it, so they chose somewhere in between their families and a city where their friends and family might like to spend a fun weekend.
