Reed and I began our friendship through a job we had together in college. We worked the same morning shift together for 2 hours, and it was during that time we got to know each other. Over many cups of coffee and working on programs together, we knew there was something more to our friendship! Over Christmas break that year, we went to the botanical gardens in Atlanta with two other friends, drank coffee, and had plenty of laughs. After we were able to meet each others’ families, we began our adventure as a couple! He proposed to me in the mountains, in the fall, while I was drinking coffee down by a creek behind our cabin. If you know me, fall is my most absolute favorite time of the year. The leaves, the colors, the coffee, the weather! Everything. I had always pictured an outdoor wedding in the fall, that was how we decided we would get married a year from our engagement! Reed is strong in his faith and puts God first, always helping guide me towards Him in our marriage. Advice to other couples? Put your faith first, laugh together, make time for each other, go on adventures together, dance in the kitchen, pray together, and be honest with each other - always. Marriage is like a life long sleepover with your best friend!
