Wedding Date on Dec 30, 2018

David and Sylvia's holiday-themed wedding took place at the turn of the new year in a sweet little park near their home in Monterey. The morning of their big day, a crew of friends and family pitched in to set up an impressive spread of DIY party decor. There was a handmade pergola, a selection of home-brewed beers, and no fewer than three cakes baked by Sylvia. During the ceremony, Sylvia broke tradition in an emerald-green gown — yay for color! — and David won us over with his tie covered in dinosaurs. Plus, the vows they wrote for each other were as hilarious as they were heartfelt. (We’re not sure whether Sylvia does standup comedy, but she should.) The reception was filled with pizza, lawn games, and dancers who brought their A-game. To top it off, Sylvia smashed open the piñata with her first swing, spilling goodies like lottery tickets and alcoholic candy for guests to collect. #badassbride
