Wedding Date on May 26, 2023

Alia and Steven met online during COVID - Alia was so nervous on the first date that she didn't see the temperature check at the entrance to the restaurant and the service staff had to run after her to bring her back to the front to get screened. Most of their dates were picnics so they could be outside due to the pandemic. They couldn't go on a lot of traditional dates at the beginning due to COVID, so they didn't actually go on our first movie date until 1.5 years into the relationship. The couple got engaged on Maui at Waianapanapa State Park with the black sand beach toward the end of the Road to Hana. Steven was very nervous all day, which Alia attributed to the fact that she was the one driving. It was pouring rain when they arrived at the beach, but Steven insisted they hike up to the bluff at the far end of the beach to get a better look at the shore. There was a beautiful spot where the waves were crashing up against the rocks, and Alia started taking pictures of the waves with Steven's phone. As she was moving to get another angle for the picture, she stepped past Steven who was kneeling down. She thought he was tying his shoe but it turned out that he was actually trying to propose! Of course, once she realized what was happening, she said yes. A few minutes after the proposal, the rain stopped and the sun came out, which they took as a good omen for their future together! Alia and Steven's wedding ceremony and reception took place at the rustic dreamland, Barns at Cooper Molera in Monterey, CA. It was the perfect location for a couple that cherishes the beauty of Monterey in general and the ocean just like Alia and Steven do. Before the ceremony began, Alia and Steven desired a first look moment at Lovers Point. It was the perfect location to see each other for the first time their wedding morning. After a unique start to dating due to the 2020 covid regulations at the time, Alia and Steven had a memorable proposal in Maui at Waianapanapa State Park. Although it was raining through their proposal, minutes after the proposal, the rain stopped and the sun came out, which they took as a good omen for their future together. It must have been because their wedding day was pure magic and so special with all of their caring family members. Congratulations, Alia and Steven! It was a day that we will always keep close to our hearts.
