Wedding Date on May 8, 2021

Pond View Farm is one of those places we love to return to again, and again, and for three more times this year! They keep one of our albums on site, and we so appreciate all the referrals the incredible staff sends our way! Kayla was one of the brides I got to know really well throughout the past year or so! And while she will probably NEVER let me forget the time I fell in the lake at 8 months pregnant during their engagement session (😂saved the camera of course), or how I GREATLY overestimated the amount of rose petals we needed for a particular “getting ready” shot she wanted (you’ll see it below), I’ve truly enjoyed taking the wedding journey with her. Her enthusiasm has always been contagious, and I knew her day would be full of laughter and fun! In the Pennsylvania/Maryland area, May tends to be the month where brides receive a text from me the week of the wedding asking if they’ve made a plan for rain as I’m not liking the forecast I’ve been tracking. Thankfully for Kayla, while random bouts of rain did indeed gust through during her wedding day, any time we needed to take portraits outside it seemed to stop. There was a five minute downpour just after the conclusion of her ceremony that ALMOST derailed family portraits for a minute, but it too left as quickly as it came. The interesting weather meant that Kayla’s ceremony was in perfect light! From dozens of laughs with their entertaining bridal party to the dance party reception, it truly was a memorable wedding. Most of our Pond View Farm wedding couples end the night with a sparkler send-off, and possibly something we’ve come to love called the “last dance”. While the coordinator gets guests set up outside for the sparkler send-off, the bride and groom slow dance to one final song, taking in a last minute of intimate quiet before heading off to their new lives together. It was the perfect ending to a fabulous night! How they met: High School How he proposed: “Dalton and I both love the corn hole game. We were playing with our best man (Joe) and maid of honor (Sierra). Dalton tossed the “will you” bean bag and Joe tossed the “marry me” bag.”
