Daïna went to visit a close friend in Orlando from Iowa and her friend invited Dieumy (her colleague at the time). They all shared a dinner and played board games and that’s how they got connected for the first time.
Dieumy's sister asked Daïna to model for her clothing line and she sent her some dresses. When Daïna arrived to the photoshoot, Dieumy and his family were there and he walked her to where his nephews were holding a sign that said, “Marry me.”
Daïna and Dieumy's vision was to have a glamorous and elegant wedding. Their color palette was dusty rose, gray, and silver. They had glass coasters with their names and wedding date on them. At the ceremony they had younger relatives who played a prince and princess, as well as a mini bride and mini groom. Daïna's brother officiated the first part of the wedding so her dad could walk her down the aisle. Her dad officiated the rest of the wedding.
Summing up the day, Daïna said, "It was such a special day, it meant the world to be able to celebrate our love with our loved ones. I loved how even though things didn’t go exactly as planned, the day still went on as if everything was on schedule and everyone had a good time."
Daina's advice for couples-to-be was, "Just have fun. Let the day of coordinator take care of everything else."
She closed with, "Thank you to everyone who stood by our side, thank you to all the vendors and thank you for all the contributions. You really made the day possible!"
