How did you two meet? There is some debate as to how/when we actually met, but all that really matters is that we became fast friends during freshman year at UChicago. After graduation, we found ourselves on opposite ends of the globe (Sean in Dubai, Andi in D.C.) – communicating exclusively through sporadic email. So we did what any rational set of people would do in such a situation: we compromised and met each other halfway (literally). Our first date was a five-day trip exploring the fjords of Norway. The rest is history! After five years, twelve countries, and one new addition (Kira!), we finally decided to make it official and embark on our newest adventure together! ^ sean copied that from our website, but its not wrong ☺ we met in college & were really close friends, but didn’t start dating til a couple years after. One year of crazy long distance, and we both found gigs in NYC, moved here, and the rest is history! Why did you choose to get married at the location that you did? Andi spent summers on Squam Lake since she was a child, and was actually baptized at Church Island (where we held the ceremony). Campbell Lovett (one of our officiants) did the baptism 25 years ago, and Cindy Dopp (the other officiant) is Andi’s godmother. Now that the wedding is over, what are you going to do with all of your free time?! Sean: Spending more time with our dog (and together)! Writing thank-you notes, and learning to say the words ‘wife’ and ‘husband’ without giggling. Andi: getting back into fostering dogs (we’ve only fostered like 3 since we got engaged), helping friends plan their weddings because everyone keeps asking, finally going back to the gym, etc. No real life changes, other than going back to real life ☺. Hopefully planning some vacations that aren’t centered around the wedding.
