Matt and Allie’s story began in February 2020, though they initially told others they met through mutual friends—it later came out they met online. Despite a global pandemic, their connection flourished as they spent countless nights watching TV, ordering takeout, and doting on their beloved Labradoodle, Oliver. Though they had already exchanged “I love yous” and met each other’s families, Matt didn’t officially ask Allie to be his girlfriend until November 2020. In 2021, Matt’s job took him to Texas, and while the distance was challenging, they made it work. Allie joined him in February 2022, working as a travel nurse while they embraced Texas life—attending rodeos, sampling barbecue, and even starting a garden together. When Allie mentioned wanting a shared hobby, Matt surprised her with a handmade raised garden, a passion they still enjoy today. Texas became the place where they built their first home together, but in 2023, Allie returned to Illinois for graduate school, with Matt following in spring 2024. They eventually bought a beautiful home together and finalized their wedding plans! On a warm summer day, Matt and Allie exchanged vows in an intimate and heartfelt ceremony at Providence Vineyard, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The stunning white barn venue, with its sweeping vineyard views and airy, romantic atmosphere, provided the perfect backdrop for their special day. Soft floral arrangements in delicate pink pastels complemented the elegance of the space, while the golden glow of the late-summer sun bathed everything in warmth. Their flower cart was a big hit! Guests could arrange their own mini floral arrangements as their table centerpiece. The personal touches Allie and Matt included perfectly capture their love, warmth, and thoughtfulness for one another and their guest’s experience.
