Ali dreamed of getting married at the Griffin House as a little girl - even before it was a wedding venue.
From the moment Ali and Sam started planning their wedding, they knew they wanted as much real-time with their people as possible. That focus guided a lot of the decisions that were made.
They hosted a full weekend event for their loved ones - making sure their people got to experience the place they love so much.

“One of the best pieces of advice we had leading into our wedding weekend was to sneak away just us two as much as possible…
After our ceremony, Sam and I took 15 minutes to ourselves in the house. We hugged, laughed, cried, recapped what just happened, I had a glass of champagne, and Sam, a vodka. Then, while our people were at cocktail hour, we snuck out the basement door so we could see our tent and all the details, just us too (and cameras of course) before anyone arrived.
It was really special to see all the small details we had been working on for months come together. The lace inlaid florals by the incredible, @novella_floral, the vintage crystal glasses and place settings Sam & I hand picked from the best rental inventory at @greatjonesnw, the illustrated menus and place cards by @hensel__studio, the 19 homemade challahs that my mom baked for each table, the draping in the tent to add interest and everything else…
We really took that advice to heart and stepped away, just us two, a few times throughout the day. I’m so glad we did because it gave us a moment to take it all in, to watch our people have the best time and to really feel it instead of just letting the whole day fly by.”
